Kodak Gold 200

It seems unreal the last blog post is from June 2023, and itself a post about an old roll shot during the pandemic, and here I am writing a new post in December 2025 and yet I don’t feel like I never abandoned analog photography for a moment in my life.

It’s just that I progress quite slow, I have to admit it now, probably more than I use to tell to myself. Anyways. Another Kodak Gold, why not. I think this is the one that more than any other recent film I shot has the highest percentage of out-of-focus shots in it. The main reason is that my eyesight is probably shittier than ever before and my over-use of high apertures – or low f numbers, as you like it – even when I can avoid them, it’s the nail in the coffin.

This is also, I believe, one of the last rolls I shot with my trusty (???) Yashica, in fact now I’m shooting again with autofocus Canons, let’s hope things will be better in the next posts (at least regarding focus). Having said that, I don’t care too much about focus anyway. A blurry image is more similar to what’s stored in my brain and I always feel more attached to my broken things; it’s something I cannot fight.
